Harprise & his Blues Crew
... are the personification of Blues from the beginning to present times and they connect different instruments with the divers types of Blues. The band has set her program according to the chronological history of Blues: At the beginning there is the Delta Blues from the twenties and the thirties in traditional proper style. Songs from artists like Mississippi John Hurt, Big Bill Broonzy and Robert Johnson come to life again. We want to mix the roots of Blues with urban influences - when Acoustic Time meets Electronic Time. In the middle part we want to show the era when black southern immigrants meet people, lifestyle and culture of cities like Chicago. Apart from a few self-compositions songs of Muddy Waters, Walter Horton, Little Walter and further Blues stars out of this period are performed. With a rhythm loaded final part we want to bring you in a groovy and danceable period of the Blues ... when Texas goes to Funky Blues! We hope we can be suggestive of the different Blues eras and Blues styles to our audience!
